Sample Sale Success.

Friday afternoon my friend and I went to the Current/Elliott, Joie, and Equipment Sample Sale on fifth ave. I was truly impressed with the wide assortment because there were lace blouses, chiffon dresses, blazers, denim rompers, silky tops, peasant tops, boyfriend jeans and honestly the list just goes on and on.

I took a quick snap shot of some mechandise:

                                             

There were many gorgeous things but the one item that won my heart over is a caviar color silk joie top.

                                                                                     

             

Black and White.

Despite it being finals week, I felt the need to dress up today because I had a final presentation for class and later in the afternoon I will attend a session where the buyers and planners of Bloomingdales will speak to us, students. I am often inspired by Coco Chanel and purely the simplicity of black and white.

I wanted to incorporate a leather skirt in the outfit so it wouldn't be too girly with the ruffle sleeve top and lucite necklace.

A sequin piece must be in every girls' closet. It could be either a sexy dress, shirt, fun blazer, cutesy shorts to even unique accessory pieces. I love sequin pieces because they could be either used during the day for class then smoothly transition into a night out with friends in the big city.

Marni For H&M

For those of you who did not get the chance to grab any of the Versace pieces from H&M, now there will be another designer collaboration in Spring 2012! Marni, which is an italian-based fashion house, will create an exclusive collection for H&M and include men's and women's clothing as well as statement accessories. In case you have never heard of Marni it is well-known for a playful yet elegant aesthetic, often uses bright colors and bold prints.

                              

H&M will feature a lot of African-inspired prints and color-blocking. This unique collection will launch on March 8, 2012. Hope you are as excited as I am for this collection!!

Holiday Season

Is there anything more fabulous than the holidays? I figured I would spend some time composing a Christmas list in the meantime since the holidays are quickly approaching. (To be honest, I am also procrastinating to avoid writing my term paper, fyi)

Dear Santa,

I have been a extremely good girl this year and have been working my hardest, as always. I think I deserve these beautiful items. I hope you agree with me. Thank you Santa, your the best! Hope to see you on Christmas Eve.

I have fallen in love with these shoes!


They became a must-have for most it girls starting in July 2010. Lita Boots come in a wide array of colors, patterns, and fabrics. You can choose from star spangled banner boots, glittery boots, to even paint splattered.

These boots are an investment piece especially since they add style to your outfit. For instance, they can be chic and edgy. Can simply be worn with anything such as dresses, jeans, leggings, shorts.

Style Tip: If you want to wear an ultra feminine outfit then style your Lita's with ankle socks and a girly dress.

I will certainly be adding a pair of Lita Boots to my Christmas wishlist!
